Abstract

1,273,732. Guiding webs. WALMSLEYS (BURY) Ltd. 9 June, 1969 [20 June, 1968], No.29353/68. Heading B8R. [Also in Division F2] A roller 26, Fig. 1, having material passed thereover is supported by bearings 28, one of which is shown and is adjustable when the material deviates from a predetermined path so as to return said material to said predetermined path. The adjustable bearing 28 is carried by a casing 14 which is supported on a fixed member 12. In use when the material deviates from the predetermined path, a detector unit 24 causes a signal to be transmitted to a control cabinet 32 and pressurized air is supplied through conduits 34, 36 in order to raise the casing 14 above the fixed member 12 and to effect the sliding of the casing 14 by means of bellows 40 or 42, Fig. 3.
