A boat comprises a pair of inflatable floats 2 disposed along the sides of the boat and the floats are connected by a rigid bottom 1<SP>1</SP>. Two steps 4 extending longitudinally are formed in the bottom, each step being attached to the lowermost part of a respective float so that it is vertical when the boat is floating in still water. An additional pair of longitudinally extending vertical steps may be formed in the bottom between the first two steps.
