A personal weigher having a platform 2 on which a person can stand is provided with at least one arrangement comprising a graduated scale 7 and marker 11 and actuatable independently of the weighing mechanism, the arrangement being manually adjustable whereby a weight value can be recorded. As shown, the weigher 1 comprising a weight indicating dial 3 rotatable relative to a fixed marker 4 is provided, along one edge, with cursors 11 carried on a rod 8 above a scale 7, the cursors being of different colours. In an alternative embodiment, rotatable drums 12 provided with scales are mounted in windows 13 of the platform and are rotatably adjustable relative to fixed markers 14. Alternatively, an adjustable marker may be provided on the periphery of the weight indicating dial.
