Abstract
1,272,380. Powder distributors. ATLAS COPCO A.B. 21 April, 1969 [26 April, 1968; 14 Dec., 1968; 14 Jan., 1969; 27 March, 1969], No. 52342/71. Divided out of 1,270,452. Heading B2F. A spray gun comprises a handle 41 and a' jet 51 with a plurality of parts 45, 46 there between forming a passage for a stream of powder spray particles suspended in a gas, said passage containing a conductor 54 connected at the handle end to a source of high voltage and at the jet end 52 to an electrode 58. The parts may comprise one or more threaded connecting sleeves 46 provided with a conductor 53 connected to conducting rings 56, 57 at the ends thereof to provide contact with the conductors 52, 54. The sleeves may be provided with collars 49, 50 of sufficient length to reduce current leakage. The passage may be a plastic hose which may constitute or contain the conductor. The jet may be provided with a baffle 60 on supports 59 which may constitute or form part of the electrode. The passage may be coated with abrasion resistant material, e.g. polytetrafluoroethylene.
