Abstract
1,269,782. Transistor switching circuits. TEXACO DEVELOPMENT CORP. 12 Aug., 1969 [21 Aug., 1968], No. 40165/69. Heading H3T. A transistor switching circuit providing narrow high voltage pulses at high frequencies, more particularly for a particle accelerator, comprises input circuits (e.g. bi-stable circuits A1, A2) controlling drive transistors Q11, Q12 for complementary chains of transistors Q1-Q5, Q5-Q10 connected by a common collector connection to an output terminal M. Switching of the chains is accelerated by connecting the bases of transistors Q2-Q5, Q7-Q10 via resistive-capacitive combinations (e.g. C2R1) to voltage dividing biasing networks. The chains are switched in antiphase from one state to another in response to input pulses applied alternately to input terminals I, J. Bi-stable circuits A1, A2 are formed as integrated circuits.
