Abstract

1,269,541. Conveyer-belt idler rollers. COAL INDUSTRIES (PATENTS) Ltd. 11 Aug., 1970 [19 Sept., 1969], No. 46215/69. Heading B8A. [Also in Division F2] A conveyer belt idler roller comprises a metal cylinder 2 having a bonded nylon coat 18. The roller is mounted on bearings 10 and 12 and lubrication is provided for by a nipple 16. The coat is applied by dip-coating after shot-blasting and de-greasing. A primer is then applied and the roller is heated to 350‹ C. It is then dipped into a cold bath of fluidized nylon type-11 powder. It may be dipped several times to give a coat of 0À008 to 0À030 inches thick, but preferably 0À020 inches thick.
