Abstract
1,268,122. Continuous envelope assemblies. JOHN DICKINSON & CO. Ltd. 9 Nov., 1970 [6 Nov., 1969; 17 June, 1970], Nos. 54488/69 and 29353/70. Heading B6A. A continuous envelope assembly comprises a plurality of envelopes whose leading and trailing edges 4, 5 are overlapped and the opposite narrow edges 12 of the envelopes are attached to lugs 23 spaced uniformly along pin feed strips 6, the envelopes being severable from the strips along lines of weaknesses 25. To facilitate folding of the envelopes in predetermined numbers to form a zig-zag stack, an envelope at the fold line 27 is replaced by a strip 30 of paper. The lines of weakness may be dispensed with and the envelopes separated by a pair of spaced slitters.
