Abstract
1,265,805. Electro-plating. ROTAX Ltd. May 29, 1969 [May 28, 1968], No.25395/68. Heading C7B. A method of electro-plating an article with a layer of metal incorporating non-metallic particles, comprises enclosing the article and the particles in a container having walls pervious to the plating solution but not to the particles. The container, with the article and particles is placed in a tank of plating solution and electric current is passed between the article and an electrode in the solution. The solution in the container is preferably agitated to maintain the particles in suspension. Thus the container may be of hollow pyramid shape having walls of porous P.V.C. membrane, air being introduced at the lower apex to agitate the solution.
