Abstract

In a house section, a frame assembly erected above every joint between two adjacent floor elements 22, is made up of two pairs of stanchions, each pair comprising an inner stanchion 1 and an outer stanchion 2 accommodating wall panels 3. The stanchions 1 and 2 are connected together by a spline plate (8 Fig. 3) and the frame is braced by cross beams (7). A grooved top girder 5 is provided which girder also receives plastics roof panels (30). Two such house sections may be laid adjacent each other (Fig. 2) whereupon the outer stanchion 2 is removed and replaced by a stanchion 1.
