Abstract

1,262,506. Electrostatic speakers. L. J. BOBB, and C. C. POND. 25 April, 1969 [29 April, 1968], No. 27581/71. Divided out of 1,262,505. Heading H4J. An electrostatic speaker, such as described in Specification 1,262,505, comprises a membrane carrying a metal coating. The membrane is clamped between a metal strip extending along an edge of the membrane on the coated side and a strip of yielding material extending along the edge of the membrane on the uncoated side. The metal strip has recesses presented toward the coated side of the membrane and is in contact with the metal coating.
