Abstract

1,261,015. Prefabricated buildings. D. M. LINDNER. 25 Feb., 1969 [15 Dec., 1967], No. 57065/67. Heading E1A. A prefabricated building consists of intermediate tubular room units 7 and end units 6 each of which is provided with a peripheral frame 11 of channel section for bolting to the adjacent unit. The frames are made of steel or aluminium and provided with aligned apertures to receive the guttering, each frame being mitred and welded at the corners and reinforced as necessary, see Fig. 2 (not shown). Plywood flooring is supported on wooden joists with an underlay of fibreglass held in place by ply board or hardboard panels supported on steel joists. For numerous minor details concerning materials employed in the wall and roof panels, sealing, insulation, windows, footings such as 52 and service fittings provided, the Specification and remaining drawings (not shown), should be referred to.
