Abstract

1,260,714. Radio signalling. PATELHOLD PATENTVERWERTUNGS - UND ELEKTRO-HOLDING A.G. 13 March, 1969 [15 March, 1968], No. 13233/69. Heading H4L. In a random access discrete address system, wherein information is transmitted by pulse modulation, means are provided for periodically transmitting in the information channel a sequence of pulses each pulse being coded in the frequency-time plane with the address of the called station but carrying no other information signal. The pulse modulation signals may also be address-coded in the same manner. At the receiver the sequence of pulses is extracted and supplied to a shift register and on the receipt of a predetermined number of address signals the contents of the register are erased and the receiver is synchronized to the incoming signal. The receiver may be provided with means for recognizing several different addresses. On receipt of the correct address signal the called station may be arranged to transmit its address back to the calling station.
