Abstract

1,260,295. Neckwear. G. E. PUCKRIN. 25 March, 1969 [23 March, 1968], No. 14152/68. Heading A3V. An article of neckwear comprises a shoulder portion 2, a neckband 3 and an auxiliary portion 4, the neckband being so set into that corner of the shoulder portion which is uppermost when worn that when the neckband is secured around a wearer's neck by fasteners 8, the shoulder portion drapes over the wearer's chest and shoulders, the auxiliary portion being attached to the inside of the neckband and worn either inside or outside the shoulder portion. The neckband is shorter than the periphery of the arcuate area cut from shoulder portion 2, so that when secured together the shoulder is slightly gathered. The neckband may be fastened at its ends 8 by Velcro (Registered Trade Mark), press studs or the like, and the auxiliary portion 4 may be similarly attached inside the neckband or may be permanently sewn thereto. The article may be worn with any open necked garment and a plurality of differently coloured and shaped detachable auxiliary portions provided.
