Abstract

855,372. Dresses; skirts. LOUISE MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Jan. 5, 1959 [Jan. 13, 1958], No. 1120/58. Class 141 A skirt 1 has attached to its upper edge a strip of material which can be passed around the upper part of the wearer's body to form the bodice of a dress or around the waist as a cummerbund. The central part 2 of the strip may be shaped by darts to fit the bust and detachably secured to the front of the skirt by buttons, press-studs &c. The tapered extensions 4, 5 may be arranged to pass over one or both shoulders or as a halter strap or may simply be wound around the body to form a strapless bodice. In a modification the strip is attached to the back of the skirt.
