Abstract

1,260,270. Applying labels. AGFA GEVAERT A.G. 14 Jan., 1969 [14 Sept., 1968], No. 36454/71. Divided out of 1,259,137. Heading B8E. A device for accurately applying a selfadhesive label to a film strip 52 comprises a device having a flap 61 pivoted about a spindle 60 and having an open aperture 61b with a stepped surface 61c to which an edge of an identification label is adhered after removal from a cassette. The film is then removed from the cassette and centred between pins 56, 57 with its leading perforation 52a engaging a pin 55 in a base-plate. The flap is then brought down on to the film and the label is then held firmly on the film while the flap is withdrawn to release the edge of the label from the surface 61c.
