Abstract

1,259,244. Valves. FISHER CONTROLS CO. Inc. 18 May, 1970 [28 Aug., 1969], No. 24005/70. Heading F2V. A butterfly valve includes a corrosionresistant liner 32, an elastomeric member 34 and a back-up member 36 and is characterized by a pair of bushings 26, 28 extending into the backup member and engaging the elastomeric member such that the corrosion-resistant liner is urged toward annular flat portions of the valve disc 18 about the shaft 19. The liner 32 is preferably made of a fluoro-substituted ethylene polymer. The valve disc is coated with a p.t.f.e. resin.
