Abstract
1,258,691. Digoxin 15<SP>1</SP>,16<SP>1</SP>-diacetate. BEIERSDORF A.G. 28 April, 1970 [28 April, 1969], No. 20409/70. Heading C2U. The novel title compound is prepared by acetylation of digoxin 15<SP>1</SP>-monoacetate which may be in admixture with other cardiac glycoside 15<SP>1</SP>-acetates. The novel diacetate is stated to be a highly active cardiac glycoside essentially better resorbed than digoxin and its mono-acetates. It may be made up into pharmaceutical compositions with suitable carriers.
