Abstract

1,258,485. Electronic component assemblies &c. SIEMENS A.G. 29 Sept., 1969 [30 Sept., 1968], No. 47758/69. Heading H1R. An electrical component assembly adapted to be slid in a rack comprises a printed circuit board 6 surrounded by a metal auxiliary frame (7, Figs. 3, 4, not shown) which bears on a peripheral earth path on one face of the said board and is soldered into a metal main frame comprising parts 1, 3 and 4 having beads 2 to locate the assembly in the rack in guide grooves (22, Fig. 4, not shown) has plug and socket arrangements 17 and 18 and upper and lower screening cover-plates 10. The cover-plates may have spring sheets having tongues 14 which contact the main frame and an insulating foil 20 may be coated on to the lower plate 10 to prevent contact between circuit connections and the plates. Locking devices 8 or screws may be used to retain the assembly in the rack, the end part 4 engaging the internal face of a truncated pyramidal section.
