Abstract

1,255,934. Control of D.C. motors. LANSING BAGNALL Ltd. 8 July, 1969 [1 July, 1968], No. 32014/68. Divided out of 1,255,933. Heading H2J. [Also in Division G3] The subject-matter of this Specification is identical with that described in Specification 1,255,933 but the claims are concerned with a control system for a D.C. motor, comprising a controllable rectifier which on receipt of a trigger signal is rendered conductive and permits current to flow to energize the motor, means for providing trigger signals for the controllable rectifier alternately with further signals for an extinguishing means for the conduction of the controllable rectifier, a contactor of which a pair of contacts are operative to allow energization of the motor when sufficient current flows through an operating coil, the operating coil being arranged to be energized in accord with the voltage across the controllable rectifier; and in which there are provided means responsive to the current through the operating coil to prevent the passage of a trigger signal to the controllable rectifier if the said current falls below a predetermined value.
