Abstract

1,255,535. Valves. WALTER KIDDE CO. Ltd. 21 April, 1970 [5 June, 1969], No. 28625/69. Heading F2V. A one-way or relief valve has a disc-shaped seating member 9 with an annular projecting rib 10 and an elastic diaphragm member 11 tensioned over the face of the seating member and embracing the periphery of the latter, at least one aperture being formed in the diaphragm member in the area between the seating rib and the periphery. The valve has a corrugated gas passage to receive a bellows tube for inflation purposes or a moulded plug 7 detachably secured to the valve body by a strap 7 which also acts as a deflation key. A moulded ring 4 forming an interference fit with the body retains the valve in a recess 4. All of the parts are made from plastic material.
