Abstract
1,254,472. Photographic photo-developable silver halide composition. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Feb.27, 1969 [March 4, 1968J, No.10490/69. Heading G2C. A photo-developable silver halide composition contains an iodocadmate, e.g. K 2 CdI 4 . 2H 2 O or sodium, calcium or ammonium iodocadmate. The iodocadmate may be added to the silver halide as such or may be formed in situ by adding cadmium iodide and e.g. an alkali-metal iodide. The silver halide may be of the internal latent image type or may have been formed by conversion of AgCl or AgClBr or AgBr. The composition may also contain organic thioethers, alkali-metal thiocyanates, plumbous salts e.g. lead nitrate, cuprous salts e.g. the chloride, bromide, iodide or thiocyanate, or water-soluble iodides e.g. of ammonium, calcium, lithium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. A binder may be present or the composition may be dried to a powder and dispersed in polystyrene or adhered to transparent adhesive tape.
