Abstract
125,373. Soc. Franþaise Radio-Electrique. Oct. 26, 1917, [Convention date]. Telephonic relays.-In a method of using highfrequency alternators as relays for wire or wireless telephony, the separate exciting-coils 7, 8, 9 of a single alternator, or of three distinct machines, are separately tuned by condensers 10, 11, 12 and inductances 13, 14, 15 to different frequencies that occur in speech, e.g. to frequencies of 400, 800, and 1600, the telephone currents, which are intended to excite the coils, being led to the terminals 16, 17. The highfrequency currents are produced in a second system of coils connected in series and superposed on the coils 7, 8, 9. A source of continuous current is preferably connected in series with the source of telephone currents, and to enable the continuous current to pass through the coils 7, 8, 9, the capacities 10, 11, 12 may be shunted by inductances 19, 20, 21.
