1,253,729. Opalizable glass composition. OWENS-ILLINOIS Inc. 24 Feb., 1969 [23 Feb., 1968], No. 9727/69. Heading C1M. A thermally opalizable glass composition consists of, in weight per cent: and, optionally, 0-2% colorant oxides, by weight based on the above composition. The colorant oxides may be oxides of Co, Cu, Cr, Ni and Mn. Opalization takes place under the thermal conditions prevalent during forming.
