Abstract

1,252,595. Tickets. DENNISON MFG. CO. Ltd. 11 Nov., 1968 [9 Nov., 1967 (2)], No. 53329/68. Heading B8F. A control ticket for merchandise identification, classification and inventory control has a section for carrying visible information and a section coated with magnetizable material for carrying machine readable information. As shown, the ticket comprises a header h imprintable with merchandizing information, an intermediate section i, and control stubs s-1, s-2 which bear magnetic coatings on their reverse sides and have recording head positioning apertures 22-1, 22-2. The various sections are detachable along incised lines 13-a, 13-b, 13-c, and side notches 61 may be provided to facilitate detachment. In use the ticket is folded along a line 62 in the intermediate section i so as to cause the header h to cover and protect the coatings on the stubs, and to align holes 14-1, 14-2 in the intermediate section for, receiving a fastener securing the ticket to the merchandise. The intermediate section i may be dispensed with and the header provided with a hole alignable with one of the positioning apertures 22-1, 22-2 of the stubs to receive the fastener.
