[Also in Division H4] In a system for transmitting a picture of at least one stationary point, e.g. a railway platform, to at least one moving railway carriage, a television camera on the platform is connected to a transmitter feeding a conductor extending for a short distance along the track and earthed through its characteristic impedance so that there is little radiation. A coupling loop on the carriage feeds a television receiver to provide information for the guard controlling the train doors. The signals from several cameras may be multiplexed on to the conductor.
