Abstract

1,250,872. Swimming pools. K. R. GREENLEES. Nov. 11, 1968 [Aug. 10, 1967], No.36775/67. Heading A4N. A swimming pool has, at water level on its boundary wall, a scum channel 6 with a rim 6a higher than the channel floor, apertures 17 at intervals along the channel extending from the floor level to a level higher than the rim opening into a duct 16 connecting the scum channel with a ring main 18 installed externally of the boundary wall. Preferably the ducts open into collecting chambers 7 into which are led the drainages from other areas of the pool installation. The ring main conducts displaced water to a filter house for treatment prior to returning the water to the pool.
