Abstract
1,250,425. Cathode-ray tubes. CORNING GLASS WORKS. 14 May, 1969 [6 Sept., 1968], No. 24501/69. Heading H1D. [Also in Division C1] A television picture tube comprises electron emitting means, an envelope with an alkali metal silicate glass face plate, and an aluminized phosphor screen on the inside surface of the face plate, where the said glass comprises, in weight per cent:- where the four specified ingredients total at least 70% by weight of the glass. The glass is resistant to browning by electrons and/or X-rays and is a good X-ray absorber between 0À33 and 0À77 Š.
