1,249,841. Grain sieve apparatus. WISSENSCHAFTLICH-TECHNISCHES ZENTRUM FUR LANDTECHNIK. 26 Feb., 1970, No. 9299/70. Heading A1F. [Also in Division B2] A grain sieve apparatus having' two spaced apart semicircular in cross section sieves connected to air ducts for distributing an air flow transversely of the apparatus and over the upper surfaces of the two sieves comprises semi-circular net sieve 1 onto which threshed grain and straw falls from a harvester-thresher and which has upstanding plates 2 and longitudinal side plates 5 defining sieving compartments. Lower semi-circular sieve 10 is spaced from sieve 1. Air passes from shaft 8, up ducts 7 and under perforated deflector plate 6. The sieves are mounted on shaft 8 and are vibrated. Grain passing through sieve 1 is further sieved by sieve 10, oversize being sieved in duct 12. A further blower provides an axial air current over sieve 10 to remove chaff.
