Abstract

1,136,202. Combine harvesters. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR A.G. 9 May, 1967 [16 May, 1966], No. 21403/67. Heading A1F. A combine harvester having a screening device 5, 6 for separating grain from straw, and like debris, is provided with means at each side of the -harvester for returning to the screening device unseparated grain which has passed through screen 5. Below the screening sieves 5, 6 is a trough 8 within which is an auger adapted to deliver grain falling from the edge of sieve 6 to return devices 10, 10<SP>1</SP> comprising ejector blowers, bucket-type elevators or like conveyers. A plate 13 deflects separated grain falling through both sieves 5, 6 into a further trough 14 from which the grain is conveyed to the grain tank of the combine. A blower 7 is arranged to direct an air blast on to the sieves 5, 6.
