Abstract

124,980. Taylor, R. June 27, 1918. Moving apparatus.-An automaton for adverbising and like purposes comprises a figure a mounted on a base b and having a head f which is turned periodically by a rod n actuated by a cam l on a disk k fixed on a shaft journaled in bearings beneath the base. A pivoted arm d is adapted to be raised and dropped in quick succession by a rod, Bowden wire, &c. i, which is acted on at its lower end by a pivoted lever actuated by a number of pins h on the disk k. A second arm e is raised to the horizontal position and lowered by a rod o worked by a lever p moving up and down under the influence of a spring s and a cam r on the shaft. The figure and the parts are so arranged that the arm d knocks on a, window-pane, and the head f then turns and the arm e rises to point out a desired article.
