Reverberatory furnaces.-In a furnace for the recovery of zinc from dross, two fire-places a. b are provided, the former for heating the hearth c on to which the dross is fed, while the flames from the latter pass through the flue k, and heat the molten metal collected in the wells f. . If desired, the wells may also be heated from beneath.
