Abstract

1,249,503. Injection moulding machines. TAPSER PORTUGUESA L.D.A. 29 May, 1969 [28 March, 1969], No. 27246/69. Heading B5A. An automatic injection moulding machine comprises an hydraulic cylinder 2 whose pistonrod 17 moves a heating chamber 7 towards a female mould plate 8, then moves the chamber 7 and mould plate 8 towards a male mould part 20, and then effects injection through a nozzle 19. A number of male mould parts 20 are mounted on a rotary turret 41 and each part 20 may carry a preformed part. Moulding material is supplied from a hopper 21 by means of interconnected rods 29, 32 whose distance apart determines the amount delivered. The rod 32 is the piston-rod of a pneumatic cylinder 33 and carries a collar 34 which, upon engagement with a tie plate 24, moves this plate and a second plate 23 to the right in Fig .5. The material between the rods 29, 32 drops into a passage 18 whence it is pushed by the piston-rod 17 into the heating chamber 7.
