Abstract
1,248,632. Control of stage lamps. BROWN BOVERI & CIE A.G. 17 March, 1969 [19 April, 1968], No. 13966/69. Heading G4H. [Also in Division G3] A stage lighting control system comprises for each group of lamps 15 a rgeulating unit 14, a digital to analogue converter 13, and a switch 11 selectively connecting a store 12 to a common pulse counter and store 8. On closure of a switch 11, counter 8 reads the number in the appropriate store 12 which through a digital to analogue converter 9 indicates the magnitude of the number on an indicator 10. An optical arrangement comprising a knob 1 turning a graduated disc 5 interrupting light from a lamp 4 to a directional scanning system 6 whose output is transmitted through a pulse shape 7 to store 8, is operated to give the required value on indicator 10, the input to lamps 15 being adjusted through members 12-14 at the same time. The indicator 10 and knob 1 may be arranged coaxially with the range of movement of knob 1 and indicator 10 coincident, a graduated scale being provided, see Figs. 2a, 2b (not shown). Alternatively the adjusting member may be a manually moved tape (27, 28), Figs. 3a, 3b (not shown) with an indicating pointer (31) moved on a parallel path. The tape may be replaced by push-buttons each arranged to energize a binary coded signal circuit connected to counter 8.
