Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to control the signal amount digitally and to obtain the control unit for signal amount excellent in the accuracy and linearity, by providing the operation switch, pulse generation circuit, resistor attenuator controlled with analog switches, and counter circuit. CONSTITUTION:Analog signal such as audio signal is fed to the terminal 1, and the pulse generation circuit 5 produces the count pulse with the operation of the operation switch 6. This count pulse operates the counter circuit 4 and the binary information according to count is outputted and it is given to the resistor attenuator group 3. The attenuator group 3 is constituted with a plurality of resistor attenuators including analog switches and it is set to the attenuation depending on the binary output of the circuit 4.
