Abstract
1,248,601. Printed circuits. THERMONIC S.A. 29 Oct., 1969 [7 Nov., 1968], No. 52839/68. Heading H1K. A printed circuit is formed on a dielectric base by roughening its surface by abrasive jet, applying a mask to the roughened surface by means of a stencil or silk screen, spraying a uniform film of metal on to the masked surface and removing the mask to leave the circuit. The dielectric base may be a panel of fibrous cement, plastics material, chipboard, wood or plywood. When used as a radiant heating element the circuit is backed by a thermal and electrical insulated pad (polyurethane, expanded polystyrene, glass wool, cork, rock wool, glass foam).
