Abstract

1,248,522. Mechanical interrupters. SEALECTRO Ltd., and S. T. DEAKIN. 14 May, 1970 [23 May, 1969], No. 26494/69. Heading H1N. Rotary programming apparatus comprises a rotatable member 10 bearing at least one circumferential row of axially-directed spigots or posts 11 on or between which actuator elements 12 of resilient material are selectively and releasably fitted to define a programme for at least one control element 20, some of said actuator elements being joined together in a continuous but readily frangible strip. The tops of the elements 12 are shaped such that a series of joined elements provides a substantially continuous actuating surface, and the elements are made in long strips that can be broken or cut up into various lengths to suit desired programmes. The control element 20 is in the form of a pivoted bell-crank having a cam-follower lobe 21 on one arm and a somewhat similar lobe (32, Fig. 2, not shown) acting on the moving blade (29) of a snap-action contact arrangement located under cover 24. Several drums 10 may be linked by a member 14 for conjoint coaxial rotation by means of a drive-shaft 15.
