Abstract

1,245,129. Improvements in connections between concrete beams and supports. ELDONWALL Ltd. 13 Sept., 1968 [21 Aug., 1967], No. 43548/68. Divided out of 1,243,975. Heading E1W. A building structure has the end of precast concrete beam mounted on a concrete support by the beam resting on a ledge of the support and reinforcement extending out from the support above the ledge and extending into a slot or groove in the end of the beam and the slot or groove is filled with concrete. A beam 12 rests on ledge 13 of an L section beam 11 which has reinforcements 28 extending into slots 25 of the beam which itself has reinforcement rods 27 extending into the slots. Shuttering is placed under beam 12 and concrete poured in. The beam 11 is mounted on column 10 by rods 20 extending from the column through tubes 14 set in beam 11, nuts 22 are fixed to rods 20 and recesses 15 and those between the rods and tubes are filled with concrete. Two beams 11 may abut on column 10 to form the side frame of the building.
