Abstract

1,244,448. Lysine mono - hydrochloride. STAMICARBON N.V. 3 Oct., 1969 [11 Oct., 1968], No. 48769/69. Heading C2C. The optical purity of optically impure e lysine mono-hydrochloride is increased by crystallization of DL-lysine monohydrochloride from an aqueous solution of the optically impure lysine salt at a temperature of from 30-60‹ C., preferably from 35-55‹ C. The aqueous solution preferably contains an amount of water from 7% less to 7% more than that corresponding to the quantity required to form a saturated solution of the optically pure lysine salt at the crystallization temperature. Speci: fication 963,265 is referred to.
