Abstract

1,242,238. Suspending curtains. L. BAYS and H. EGGER. 30 Nov., 1968, No. 56958/68. Heading A4B. Apparatus for feeding runners 3 on to a fixed curtain rail 1, Fig. 4, comprises a central body portion H 1 which detachably receives in one end a vertical transfer rail T 1 and is fitted at its opposite end in an opening 1<SP>1</SP> in the rail 1, the body portion H 1 having a spring tongue 18 which engages one end of the opening 1<SP>1</SP> and guide tongues 14 along which the runners pass to or from the rail 1. As shown, the rail 1 and transfer rail T 1 are of box section. In another embodiment, Figs. 12, 15, the rail 30 and transfer rail T 2 are of I-section and the body portion H 2 is formed by a rail part 33 riveted at 35 to a sleeve part 34. The rail part 33 has a narrow flange 37 on which the runners 32 are guided and a wider flange which extends into two tongues 40 engaged between spring tongues 45, 46 on the sleeve 34. The spring tongues 45, 46 secure the body H 2 to the entry opening 30a of the rail 30.
