Abstract

124,137. Horii, K.. July 12, 1918. Electrodes, regenerating.-Exhausted dry cells are regenerated by boring a hole through the top into the depolariser, filling the hole with a solution of 200 grammes sodium chloride, 120 grammes ammonium chloride, 40 grammes oxalic acid dissolved in 1500 grammes water, and heating the cell until vapour is given off abundantly. The cell is then plunged under water to cool and cause the water to penetrate into the cell. The hole is then closed.
