Abstract

1,241,138. Rotary hoe. SVENSKA JARNVAGSVERKSTADERNA A.B. 17 June, 1969 [17 June, 1968], No. 30629/69. Heading A1B. A cultivating device of the rotary hoe type includes two rotors, one of which is shown, having radially projecting cutters 12 adapted to be connected to a vehicle so as to be pivoted in a horizontal plane and symmetrically positioned obliquely to the direction of the vehicle, the rotors being driven such that they tend to move the hoe in a forward direction. The rotors are driven from the power take-off of a tractor through a cardan shaft 9 with a friction clutch provided to reduce cutter breakage. The cutters 12 are secured by bolts on holders which are welded along one or more screw lines around the rotor. Each radial leg 13 of the cutters is set at an angle to the plane perpendicular to the rotor axis and the plane of the blade 16 is such as to be parallel to the rotor axis and inclined to the plane perpendicular to the radius through the leg 13.
