Abstract
1,241,124. Electric shavers. MISTRELETTRICA S.R.L. 7 March, 1969 [8 March, 1968] No. 12202/69. Heading B4B. A shaving unit for an electric shaver comprises a comb 101, having regions of rectangular perforations A-C, spaced in staggered parallel rows at about 80 degrees to the direction of reciprocation of three respectively co-operable reciprocable shaving elements 108 (109), Figs. 7, 9-13 (not shown), each of part-circular crosssection. Holes 103 at the edges of the comb 101 are engaged by comb retainers 104 of a comb holder which is inserted into a frame 105, rods 106 causing the comb 101 to take up a con-- tinuously curved configuration over the elements 108 (109). The central element 108 is preferably formed from spring steel by punching interblade slots 112 and holes- (113), for reducing weight and allowing escape of cut hair, prior to die forming and heat treatment. A noisedampening nylon insert may be incorporated in connecting the element 108 to drive means (not shown). The outer elements (109) are formed with axially asymetrically disposed blades, Figs. 11-13 (not shown).
