Abstract

1,240,187. Photo-conductor circuit. TOKYO KEIKI SEIZOSHO CO. Ltd. Oct.21, 1968 [Oct.25, 1967], No.49887/68. Heading G1A. In a light responsive circuit a photo-conductive device 4 is connected in series with a parallel circuit comprising a discharge tube 3 in parallel with a resistor 5 and the discharge tube is optically coupled with the photo-conductive device to form a lock-up device. Application to a smoke detector producing an output on terminals 9, 10 is referred to, and an arrangement including a light barrier in front of the detector so that it is energized only by scattered light is described. The apparatus may be used also for aerosols and particles suspended in liquids.
