Slag cement is obtained by grinding e.g. to a surface area of 3500-4000 cm.<SP>2</SP>/gm., a mixture of 30-50% granulated blast furnace slag containing not more than 6% Al 2 O 3 ; 70-50% portland cement clinker containing not more than 8% 3CaO.Al 2 O 3 and not more than 55% 3CaO.SiO 2 and gypsum e.g. up to 6%.
