[Also in Division H2] A system for assembling and connecting electrical apparatus on a stationary or pivotable framework comprises an assembly frame 1, at least one modular-dimensioned connection socket attached to the frame 1, the socket having holes arranged pair wise in rows to receive contact elements from one side of the socket and to connect them to other contact elements received from the other side, each contact element being held in the socket by means of a retaining element arranged in a recess inside the plinth, and connection members permitting two arbitrarily chosen apparatus to be connected together within the frame 1. As shown, attached to the assembly frame are, a socket 3 having space for four relays apparatus 4, 5, 6, 7, three circuit cards 8, 9, 10 and a socket 11 for connection of incoming and outgoing connections to apparatus. Such assembly frames may be connected together to form a single unit. The frame 1 may be attached to a stationary framework (Fig. 2, not shown) on a pivotable framework (Fig. 3, not shown). Each connection member (Fig. 4, not shown) comprises an insulated conductor (20) having a contact element, viz. pin (21) or socket (22) at each end. The sockets may be opened to permit the insertion of the retaining elements which have resilient tongues for gripping the contact elements and also a transverse part which electrically connects twocontact elements inserted at the back of the socket so that two connections are obtained for a single contact element inserted at the front of the socket. The socket receives contact sockets from one side and corresponding contact pins from the other side.
