Abstract
1,238,749. Gas filter with cleaning means. INTENSIV-FILTER G.m.b.H. 18 Sept., 1969 [18 Sept., 1968], No. 46068/69. Heading BIT. Cleaning of a selected row of gas filter elements 11 by outward gas flow while the rest of the elements 11 are still carrying out inward flow gas filtration is effected by placing manifold 18 over the selected row so that air from air supply duct 20 can pass in at the sides of movable stand 23, Fig. 3 and thence through the slot 24, Fig. 2 in the base of duct 20 into manifold 18 and hence through the selected row of elements 11. Passage of air from duct 20 through slot 24 is confined to that part of the slot 24 occupied by stand 23 by a flexible cover strip 25, Fig. 3, which covers that area of the slot 24 not occupied by stand 23. Stand 23 is movable along slot 24 together with manifold 18. The gas to be filtered and the cleaning air can be sucked or blown into the filter.
