Abstract

1,238,117. Cleaning brushes. RANK XEROX Ltd. 18 March, 1969 [18 March, 1968], No. 14152/69. Heading A4F. [Also in Divisions G2 and G3] A cleaning brush 71 engaging a xerographic drum 20 has a hollow flicker bar 110 provided with a jet slot 114 supplied with compressed air for removing toned particles from the brush. The brush may be of synthetic fur, vegetable fibres, animal fur or mixtures thereof. The brush 71 is positioned in a vacuum duct 78 connected to an exhaust duct 105 leading to a filter and a fan.
