Abstract

1,237,355. Endless conveyers; feeding sheets. JACOBS MACHINE CORP. 22 Jan., 1969, No. 3592/69. Headings B8A and B8R. Lengths of cloth 26 conveyed, by a series of laterally spaced endless belts 32, over a perforated base-plate 40 are urged towards and aligned with a vertical leg 36 at the edge of the base-plate by a plurality of air jets 42 emanating from pipes 44 below the base-plate and directed upwardly through said perforations and towards said leg 36. The leg 36 is adjustable on slide bars 72 and has a transparent cover 38 clipped thereto. A photo-electric cell (108), Fig. 2 (not shown), reacting to the leading edge of the cloth, controls a main air supply valve (not shown) to supply air to the pipes (44) when a length of cloth is substantially covering the base-plate (40).
