Abstract

1,236,667. Continuous casting machines. BOHLER & CO. A.G. GEB. 30 Dec., 1968 [27 Dec., 1967], No. 61747/68. Heading B3F. A roll guide for continuous castings has pinch rolls 3 arranged in two curves or rows, the rolls of one of the curves or rows being fixed to the links 5 of a roller chain adjustable in relation to the cast strand by means of pistons 10 in cylinders 9. The pistons act through the piston rods 11 on supports 8 arranged on both sides of the roller chain, the supports 8 being connected to the roller chain by link pins 7. Eccentrics 15 are provided between the bores of the rolls 3 and pivot pins 6 for adjustment of individual pinch rolls.
