A hair piece comprises a plurality of hollow filaments of synthetic or regenerated polymeric material having a crosssection which is a ring or an open or closed split-ring, and a carrier on to which the filaments are stiched or bonded. The filaments may be of cellulose triacetate, secondary cellulose acetate, nylon, polyethylene terephthalate, acrylics, modacrylics or polymers and copolymers of olefines and vinyl esters, and the carrier may be the cloth base of a wig, or it may be a doll's head.
